MSF

I hadn't put up any pictures of the MSF (mobile science facility) that Elissa and I took over after Hannah left. It's run by a project called ICECAPS that is mainly from CU and Univ of Wisc. It deals a whole lot with clouds and is trying to see how liquid and ice clouds play into the heat budget when it comes to climate change. So there are different lasers looking at the clouds and the air above station

micropulse lidar laser that measures cloud heights and cloud composition

ceilometer that measures cloud heights

PAERI which measures cloud properties

MMCR which measures upwelling and downwelling precipitation and water vapor movement

MMCR

CAPABLE laser measuring cloud polarization

part of the PAERI

WVR

SODAR measuring different layers of the air
