Spring 2018: Arizona, Utah, and Colorado

-->
Since I’m so far behind on this and so much happen, I’m just going to give a brief overview of the events of the spring and summer.

We spent a week in Tucson enjoying hanging out with the Halbachs. Mom and dad had rented a super nice and beautiful Air bnb with a pool. Zach and Annie also came down. The Halbachs threw a big wedding celebration for us at Gerry’s house on Cinco de Mayo (and Elisha’s birthday). It was beautiful, and we had a Sonoran hot dog cart drive up to the house to serve everyone delicious Sonoran dogs and tacos food. There was of course plenty of dancing and an after party at Michael and Heather’s. We spent the week hanging out with Grandma and the gang and doing some hikes in the desert.

After Tucson, we spent a few days in Estes before driving to meet my brother, Annie, and Annie’s friend Kate in Zion where we spent a couple of weeks doing technical slot canyons (Pine Creek, das boot/subway, kolob, refrigerator, orderville/virgin narrows), hiking, and mountain biking in the Zion/Hurricane area as well as in Red Canyon, Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument (red breaks? and Dunham?), Capitol Reef NP, and Arches NP (Dragonfly Canyon). On the way home we stopped at Aunt Hope and Uncle Pete’s house in Monument.

We then spent a few days in Estes again before driving up to Heron, MT with a stop for a couple of days in Pocatello to hang out and do some biking with Lucas and the Stringfields.
