I stopped shaving when I left New York for Greenland. I shaved again in Akureyri over 5 months later. I heard keratin doesn't grow as well under stressful conditions at at high altitudes, so I'm sticking to that as my excuse as to why my beard was so weak even after 5 months of no shaving! I wanted to keep the beard for Iceland, but Elisha said "shave off that gross amish beard", haha, so I obliged in Akureyri
