Posting some pictures of our main office in the greenhouse and our TAWO office in the clean air sector

Today was our first day all by ourselves. The last flight of the flight period took away twenty some people today, so the station is now down to 20 something. Elissa and I did well on our first day I think.
It was a beautiful day today, and I took a fat tire bike ride out on the airfield. Thursdays it Bollywood (Indian Hollywood) day here. The cook Kathy spends half of the year living in India, so she's really into Bollywood movies. So she cooks an Indian meal on Thrusdays (or something Asian) and then everyone watches a bollywood movie in the lounge

Today was the first day of considerable snowfall, so we skied out to TAWO b/c of the deeper snow. Food was very yummy today. Tilapia fish tacos for lunch and prime rib for dinner. The guy who was in charge of "house mouse" today, (named Storm) is a funny guy and he set the table for everyone and put mints on the tables and poured waters for everyone and even put rolls out in napkins. He then cleared all the plates from us and served us pie.
I went out for a skate ski tonight b/c it cleared up and it was beautiful out with all the new sparkling snow. It was a heat wave today with a high temp of 18F!
Worked on my statistics (very frustratingly) and didn't get very far while everyone else had a movie marathon by watching shrek and deadpool.
Some sad news. Our medic Dave is is probably my favorite person on station fell in a hole and probably tore his ACL, so he will be leaving on the next flight period in exchange for another CU-Med person. But Dave is super awesome. He's hilarious, really nice, positive, outdoorsy, and the easiest person on station to talk to. I think he definitely increases the groups overall morale.

Today we had salmon eggs benedict and bacon for lunch.
We also practiced our emergency response scenarios today. I am the scene safety officer/On scene leader and a backup medic, which is cool. Today the patient had a slip and fall and broke his arm and sprained his knee.
We had yummy gourmet pizza for dinner. My favorite was the mediterranean with kalimata olives, feta, and artichokes.

Elissa went to grad school in Quebec so she's trying to keep up on her French. I'm trying to relearn a bit of Spanish, so we are doing a word of the day foreign language board in our office |
