Cheetah and Cubs!

10/28

Perhaps do to luck from the carving, we found a mama cheetah and 2 cubs.  Believe it or not it was the first cheetahs that Helen has seen at Mpala.  I've been lucky and my sightings of cheetahs have accounted for all but 2 of the photographic data records of cheetahs for her project.  I have now seen 12 cheethas!  Cheetahs are one of the most difficult of the diurnal animals to see at Mpala.  So we followed the cheetahs around for the whole afternoon.  Of course the cubs are cute and fun to watch play, even if they were oldish cups (Helen estimated about 8 months)

That's amazing that you got to see so many more than the cheetah researcher!
